Paralegal Assistant

Nicole E. Kovacs

Nicole is a San Diego native who joined SDELC as an Administrative Assistant in June of 2021.  Previously she worked as an administrative assistant in the field of elder law, then spent five years as a preschool teacher.  During her time teaching her favorite project was the Inter-Generational Garden, where young children, teenagers, adults, and elders collaborated with a common goal.  Nicole also served as recording secretary on the board of directors at Friends of Cats, a San Diego cat shelter, with a focus on volunteer coordination.  Through each of these experiences she developed an appreciation for all ages and ability levels, and a lifelong passion for relationship and community building.  She believes every person fits into the world community in a meaningful way, and in her position with SDELC she is excited to continue supporting individuals and families in achieving their unique goals.

In her time away from the SDELC family, Nicole enjoys caring for her many pets, surfing, and painting both traditionally and digitally.  She may often be found at the beach or mountains observing native wildlife.
