Carly Surber Maganuco
Carly Surber Maganuco is an attorney with the San Diego Elder Law Center. She is a native San Diegan and graduated from San Diego State University with her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. During her undergraduate studies, she was a proud member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society. Carly went on to attend and graduate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
Carly is an experienced and compassionate elder law attorney, advocating for the needs of elders, those with disabilities, their families and their caregivers, whether in a crisis or through advanced planning. Carly has experience in Medi-Cal and public benefits planning, asset preservation, conservatorships, trust & estate planning, special needs trusts and planning, probate administration and trust administration. Carly serves the community as a Court-Appointed Attorney for the Superior Court of California, County of San Diego. Carly often speaks to groups on topics concerning Elder and Special Needs Law and public benefits planning. Carly is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), Probate Attorneys of San Diego (PASD), and the Elder Law and Estate Planning, Trusts & Probate sections of the San Diego County Bar Association.
In her downtime, Carly enjoys reading, playing and watching sports, hiking and adventuring with her husband and dachshund, Scout, cooking for friends and family, volunteering with a variety of cancer organizations, and mentoring students at SDSU.
