Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Marcie joined San Diego Elder Law Center as our Community Affairs Director. Her focus includes managing new and existing community outreach and educational programs as well as acting as liaison for the firm to the elder and special needs communities, and professional health care, legal and financial communities.
Marcie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Master of Social Work from San Diego State University. Additionally, she earned an Intergenerational specialist post-graduate certificate from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the National Association of Professional Care Managers, the Estate Planning Council of San Diego, and is a Board Member for the Home of Guiding Hands. Marcie has an extensive background in geriatric care management and clinical supervision, as well as developing and implementing Intergenerational programs for the County of San Diego Aging & Independence Services. While at the County of San Diego, Marcie became a nationally-recognized expert and speaker regarding Intergenerational programs and approaches. Marcie’s experience and skills are important as she works on our team to help our clients get the care they need, qualify for any assistance they are entitled to, and advocate for their rights in the health care system.
When she isn’t at San Diego Elder Law Center, Marcie enjoys time with her family, friends, neighbors as well as traveling, hiking and reading. She loves sporting events and participating in 5K Walk/Run fundraisers.
