Kathleen McCarthy, San Diego Elder Law Center's Care Coordinator and Community Outreach Specialist has been invited to join the Education Committee for the Caregiver Coalition.
The Caregiver Coalition of San Diego is an alliance of agencies that provide services for family caregivers. The Coalition is dedicated to supporting caregivers through education and advocacy. The Caregiver Coalition mission is "to identify and address the needs of Caregivers through advocacy efforts and collaboration of a broad coalition membership in order to improve the overall quality of life for Caregivers, their families and the community."
The members include representatives of non-profits, businesses, government agencies and other professionals who are experts in the field. Our purpose is to make the job of caring for family members less stressful. The Education Committee meets monthly to plan seminars throughout the county providing information that will make caregiving tasks more manageable no matter what stage of the process someone may find themselves in.
